Who is laser hair removal for?
Laser hair removal is for both men and women and can be started at age 16 with parental consent.
It is most effective on clients with darker hair and lighter skin, however, it may be effective on all hair and skin types with the right expectations and treatment plans.
The most commonly treated areas on men are neck, chest, back, and hands.
The most commonly treated areas on women are armpits, lip, bikini line, and lower legs.
How many laser treatments will I need?
Results will vary from person to person, but on average you can expect to see hair growth significantly reduced after just 1 session, and completely gone after 6 to 10 sessions. This is why we sell our packages in 6-packs (and also offer maintenance 3-packs for those who need them). Sometimes, clients will come back for touchup appointments about a year later if they do experience any regrowth. Who’s ready to be smooth?
How should I prepare for my laser hair removal appointment?
Before you come in for your laser hair removal treatment, do not wax, tweeze, or epilate. In order for the treatment to work, the roots of your hair need to be exposed. Shaving is okay, as it leaves the root in place. In fact, it is encouraged to shave the area a day or two before your appointment.
How does laser hair removal work?
At your laser appointment, you can expect a handheld “flashgun” to be smoothly passed along the skin, delivering a spectral range of light that targets your hair follicles. This technique is also sometimes called “Photo Rejuvenation”.
The laser’s light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and converted to heat, which in turn damages the hair follicles to delay, and eventually inhibit future hair growth.
